Gmina Kołobrzeg is located along the south coast of the Baltic. Its coastal belt 13 km long, stretches from the western ends of town to the town of Kołobrzeg Dźwirzyno.

Considered as having one of the most attractive beaches on this part of the coast, this 40m-wide extravaganza in Grzybowo is covered by soft, white granules of sand with no hint of stones. This part of the Baltic Sea is known as the Grzybowo Bay, and at 7 km in length the bay cuts into the land to a depth of 800 m.

Accommotation

There are several accommodations that are available to rent per night or per week. Ośrodek ŚWIT Grzybowo is owned by Świt resorts. These are small resorts which where originally built as holiday places for the Swit Factory workers in Warszaw. Whilst the accommodation is basic it is comfortable and only a 200 meters from the beach. The staff are very friendly and well worth staying even if for a couple of nights to experience a taste of the old Poland Factory Resort. Świt Resorts own 2 other places in Poland and word has it that they are planning on delveloping these in to modern resort in the near future.
